Back home for a while

We have spent virtually the last two weeks either in Jonesboro or Memphis at doctors' appointments or all day long in the hospital at One Day Surgery. I have been quite sick during this time, and not feeling up to updating here, even making a show in St. Bernard's emergency room last Wednesday night, and coming away with a shot of morphine. WoW is all I have to say about that! Too bad it cannot have been used throughout this ordeal I have been, and am still going through, BUT am thinking I'm on the way out of! It is going to take me a bit to recover, and catch up, but we have all of next week at home! HALLELUJAH !

We just got home late this afternoon, totally exhausted, after a bilateral venogram and follow-up with another of one of my very, very favorite doctors, Dr. Campbell who performed my back surgery. He removed the staples and other stuff, so I think I am free as a bird as far as my back is concerned. He is really a swell guy.

It is going to take me a while to get all caught up with the news from the last few weeks, so I'm asking your endulgence.

Here are a couple more pictures of the ice storm damage around our house.
Here is the whole bunch of them that Jim got with our cameras. Please to enjoy.

She was a beautiful old lady.

This us the holly tree just outside our front door.
It is so pretty.

Good to hear from you. Hope this next week is a restful, comfortable one for you. That big old tree is something else. We lost one last year to a wind storm.
Look forward to hearing from you when you feel up to it.

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. Would you believe snowflakes today? Won't be bad, but almost funny in a weird sort of way, maybe to weird people. It's been nice already. Antibiotic is putting a bit of zing in my life whenever I'm awake, and that is nice. High school friends bringing things up on Facebook and THAT if fun for sure.

Thanks for stopping by and PLEASE come back!

I am glad you finally got through all your trips last week. I know you must be worn out. Hope you can get some rest this week. I thought retirement was going to be a time when we could mostly just do what we wanted to. That myth has died a permanent death.
I have been keeping up with Peggy and her posts. She has to be one very special woman. I am glad they are going to get some counseling for Caden. What a tough thing for such a young child. I really feel sorry for him.
I am still trying to get my medical problems straightened out. Last week I saw two Doctors. One on Monday and one on Thursday. The Monday doctor gave me two new medications. The Thursday doctor told me not to take them. I see another doctor on Tuesday and I hope things will settle down after that. My real problem is what the high blood pressure and Diabetics has done to my kidney function. They really got my attention with this one. I spent 4 days in the hospital trying to get the Potassium levels down. It did not work as well as we had hoped. The solution is stay calm, don't eat a lot of sodium and reduce the intake of potassium. All of that is coupled with daily exercise. So far I have been walking in the neighborhood but plan to go to the rec.center next week.
They may put me on insulin if things don't get better.
I know you are busy trying to catch up but will look forward to hearing from you soon. I love you and pray for you daily. Jocelyn
